Congrats on baby #2. Fascinated by the vintage CTA map. We live right near that Humboldt Park stop. Wonder if it was a tram line? Wish it were still in place!
Looking at some photos on this page (https://www.chicago-l.org/operations/lines/humboldt.html), the Humboldt Park Branch does look elevated. It was abandoned in 1952 because there wasn't enough ridership, apparently partly because there were streetcars on North Avenue, and the elevated tracks ran just north of it. This makes me reconsider how I should frame what I found for Ukrainian Village as well. Such a different world when you have multiple transit operators.
